Central London. Permanent, infrastructure/operations support analyst. Key skills include Windows & Unix server 3rd line support, networking, messaging or databases or back-ups, systems monitoring. Database knowledge such as Oracle & SQL is highly desired. You must have extensive experience of 3 rd line support of critical systems in fast-moving environments. ITIL or multi-tiered environments is also a pre-requisite for this role. Monitoring & back-up experience (ideally NetVault) in a large corporate environment with complex systems is very advantageous. Your skills may also include Scripting, storage/SAN, Tivoli & messaging with Notes/Lotus Notes. This position is part of a busy, lively operations team responsible for supporting a complex infrastructure (global infrastructure). The operations team must ensure the health of the infrastructure & the operations run smoothly, making certain maximum service is available. This includes taking responsible for 2 nd tier support of Oracle services & enterprise monitoring services. This position will require you to participate in a shift rota as the operations department co-ordinates their support with an Australian office. Occasionally out of hours/outside of shift work is required so my client is looking for candidates that are flexible. In summary you must have Windows server 2000/2003, Unix/AIX/Linux, 3 rd line/infrastructure support, ideally SQL or Oracle, back-ups & monitoring systems support, ITIL & networking.
